Laura Abram

Laura Abram is a seasoned professional with over 20 years experience in the semiconductor and high-tech industries. She has a proven track record in successfully partnering with CEOs and executive management teams to drive and execute communication, positioning, branding, change management and IPO strategies. Abram is a highly competent and accomplished professional with a straight-forward approach and persistent dedication to excellence.

Abram is a partner in Invisor Consulting, a premier strategic marketing consulting firm to the semiconductor, computer and communications industries. Prior to co-founding Invisor Consulting, Abram was president of Spectrum Communications Group, a marketing consulting firm. While at Spectrum she successfully led a repositioning and rebranding effort for Rambus.

Prior to Spectrum, Abram was director, corporate and marketing communications at Tessera Technologies. She was responsible for managing a rebranding initiative to position Tessera as a pure IP company. She also played a significant role in developing the company's S-1 prospectus for their planned IPO.

Before Tessera, Abram was director corporate and marketing communications for VLSI Technologies, which was later acquired by Phillips. While at VLSI she led a successful launch of the company's new brand identity and strategy worldwide. This included articulating and communicating the new company strategy to customers, investors, and employees.

Prior to VLSI Technologies, Abram was director of employee communications for National Semiconductor. She was responsible for communicating with the company's 10,000 employees around the world. Her accomplishments included working closely with the CEO to implement a new company strategy and change process worldwide, as well as assist in developing key presentations to the investment community.

Earlier in her career, Abram worked at Tandem Computers, which was later acquired by Compaq, as a senior manager for corporate communications. Abram worked closely with the CEO and executive team to communicate the company's strategy, mergers and acquisitions, quarterly conference calls, new product announcements and internal communications with over 10,000 employees worldwide.

Abram has a BA in communications from Sonoma State University. Originally from New York, she now lives in Woodside with her husband and two children.
